How to Plan a Party Dessert Table and Mazza Spread
A generous table of sweets and mazza is the heart of a Syrian celebration. Here is a simple way to plan one for any size crowd.
How much to order
As a guide, plan 4–6 sweet pieces per guest for a dessert table, and 6–8 mazza pieces per guest when mazza is the main food. Kibbeh, lachme b'agene, sambusak, burekas and pizza pieces are $1.75 each.
Mix textures
Combine crisp baklava, soft ma'amoul, creamy znoud el sit, chocolates and a bowl of nuts. On the savory side, pair fried kibbeh with fresh tabouleh, fattoush and hummus.
